Together with Tracey, we run 13 Glow Active Classes & provide bespoke Personal Training sessions in Nuneaton, Bedworth, Burbage, Broughton Astley & Hinckley areas and you are more than welcome to join us.
I have been running fitness & nutrition classes & providing PT Sessions, for the last 20 years since qualifying.
In 2011, I trained with Rosemary Conley and ran a successful franchise for 3 years, but in February 2014, Rosemary Conley franchise closed.
But, I am proud to say, that our fitness classes have continued to grow & thrive, with the support of our members and my family & friends.
We have taken the best bits of the old Rosemary Conley classes and extended the range of exercises on offer (everything from Aerobics to FitSteps and Fitness Pilates to KettleBlast) and combined this with a current and enjoyable Healthy Eating Plan, under our new name, Glow Active.
My priority, is to ensure that all my members feel welcome & comfortable in my classes, no matter what level of fitness, age, shape or size and more importantly….. our aim is to have FUN!
I know how it feels to be overweight & how challenging it can be to lose weight.
Five years ago, I found myself wearing the same comfortable clothes and was frustrated, that I could not wear my favourite jeans and fitted tops, due to my weight.
It was at this point, I decided it was time for change.
With good friends, I increased my activity levels, followed our Healthy Eating Plan and lost just under 2 stone; I achieved my long term goal.
Working together, we can help you reach your fitness goals and your target weight.
I love my job, passionate about what I do and I am committed to our members. Just don’t take my word for it, please click on our ‘Weight Management’ tab, to read Tina’s & Petula’s testimonials.
I first started going to my local Rosemary Conley Club 18 years ago as a member. I was on a mission to loose 3 and a 1/2 stone … as a qualified chef I ate too much (I love food!!!) and was not a great lover of exercise! After trying all the other clubs around at the time, nothing worked for me apart from Rosemary’s club.
Not only did I discover my love of exercise I achieved my goal to get rid of my unwanted weight……. mission success!
Then after having my first son 14 years ago I went back to class after 6 weeks and got back into my pre pregnancy clothes in no time, I felt fantastic. I firmly believe it was the exercise that helped me and it was also my night out with my new friends at the club. It was at this time I was asked if I would like to become an instructor. It made perfect sense as I had a good background of food, qualifications in nutrition and my new found love of exercise.
I haven’t looked back. I am now qualified to teach a range of classes including step, conditioning, circuit training, Salsacise, Boxercise, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Aqua. In my classes you can expect the personal touch. I will identify your fitness goals and provide ongoing support to achieve them. You can also be assured that my exercise classes are adapted to meet your needs wherever possible.
Its hard to talk about the best parts of my job but what I would say it’s the feeling I get when I see the smiles from my members when they have lost a few lbs/stones/kilos, reached their goals, got in smaller clothing, took part in the local fun run, ran their first marathon, taking part in the warm up sessions that I have taught for “The Race For Life” and seeing members making new friends. I know all about their journey I’m just glad to be there for them.
One comment that was said to me from a member which I will never forget “it doesn’t matter what size you are, how old you are, how unfit you are or if your having the worst day ever…. you make people smile, you make things fun, you listen and make people feel better about themselves”….. This is now my mission to help members achieve their goals whether they are to get fitter, loose weight, feel good about themselves, enable them to feel comfortable in my class and they also get value for money.
